About us
Riding, owning and showing horses for over 35 years, Gladys has also taught at several of the stables along Long Island's prestigious North Shore in New York. It was during the later portion of this period that Gladys was a member of the renowned "Long Island Dressage and Combined Training Association" (LIDCTA).
In July, 2006, Richard and Gladys moved to Warrenton, Virginia to establish River's Edge Farm for retired show and sport horses. Gladys has a wealth of equestrian knowledge and experience, combined with Richard's deep commitment to providing a dignified living for retired horses.

At River's Edge Farm, your horse can retire with grace and comfort. We are a private retirement/layup facility located in picturesque Warrenton, Virginia. Here on the river's edge of the Rappahannock River, horses will experience our brand of genteel hospitality while grazing at their leisure on our rolling countryside.
Our facility encompasses 11.5 acres of historic countryside in Northern Fauquier County, Virginia. We have 5 large paddocks with 3 board fencing. There are 2 run-in sheds and a center isle barn with 8-12'x 12' stalls.
